Travel & Lodging

We recommend booking your travel and lodging early; Bozeman is close to Yellowstone National Park which is a popular tourist destination in August.

Travel

You can fly into the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport.

The conference schedule is jam-packed so we recommend that you consider extending your stay for a few days following the symposium to take advantage of the beautiful bike trails, hiking, and of course the nearby Yellowstone National Park.

Lodging

There is a hotel downtown, about a 20 minute walk from the conference venues and close to where we will be having dinner after the concerts.

There is also a free bus to downtown that runs twice per hour, and you can also rent bicycles.

There are also several hotels on north 7th Avenue. This is further from campus so may require renting a car or a bike. (Ask your hotel whether they offer a shuttle service to campus). On-campus parking is $7 per day.

You can view a complete list of available hotels on Google (the KISS venues are at the bottom of the map just north of the intersection of Kagy and 11th). To book any of these hotels, see the usual sites like hotels.com, priceline.com, hotwire.com or expedia.com

If you’d like to share a space, there are also some options (try to stick close to downtown unless you have a car) on

If you are interested in being closer to nature and the great outdoors and have access to a car, there are several great camping options!

If you have any questions about KISS, food, lodging, travel, or Bozeman, please contact us! We look forward to welcoming you to Bozeman in August!
